I know you probably have had BBQ Chicken Pizza but have you ever tried pizza with smoked pulled pork? It's everything you could want in a pizza. From the homemade crust to the tangy housemade BBQ sauce, this recipe.... excuse me when I say this...but slappppss! It will keep you coming back for more!

Yield: 2-4 Servings | Cook Time: 15-20 Mins | Total Time: 1 hour 30 Mins

Ingredients

Pizza Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 packet or 2 1/4 tsp Fleischmann's instant yeast

  • 3 TBLS olive oil

  • 3/4 cup warm water

  • 1 TBLS italian seasoning

  • Pam Spray

BBQ Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • 1 tsp yellow mustard

  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

  • 2 tsp liquid smoke

  • 3 tsp brown sugar

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • 1/4 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 TBLS water

  • Salt & pepper

Other Pizza Ingredients

  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced

  • 2 cup mozzarella cheese

  • 1.5 cup smoked pulled pork

Directions

For the BBQ Sauce

  1. Whisk together all the ingredients. Sauce gets better the longer it sits. If you can, let it sit overnight.

For the Pizza Crust

  1. Whisk together 1 cup of the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and italian seasoning.

  2. Add 2 TBLS olive oil and water to the dry mixture. Mix well.

  3. Before the next step put on one glove, and spray with pam spray, you will thank me later. Gradually add the remaining 1 cup of flour, stirring (use your hand that has the glove on) until the dough forms a soft, slighlty sticky ball (add more flour if needed).

  4. Add 1 TBLS of oil to a new bowl and brush over the entire bowl (this will help the dough from sticking as it rises.) Add the ball of dough into the bowl and turn the dough over a couple times so that it gets coated with the oil.

  5. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 hour (dough should double in size).

  6. Once dough is done rising, punch it down. Transfer to a floured surface and knead 1 minute. Flour your rolling pin and roll dough into a circle.

  7. Place dough on pizza pan and poke with a fork. Preheat oven to 425F.

Assemble The Pizza

  1. Add 1/4 - 1/2 cup bbq sauce on top of the dough, top with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Add the pulled pork, red onions, jalapeño, and the remaining 1 cup of cheese. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Feel free to add whatever toppings you want and omit any listed that aren't to your liking. What are you waiting for? Go get cooking!
