Guacamole Dip

This is a staple in our house, almost weekly and the wild thing is it never gets old! We are defiantly the more creamy type when it comes to our gaucamole. So, if you are looking for a chunky recipe you can certainly still follow along just don't smash the avocados! The most time consuming part of this dish is chopping the ingredients. To save time use a food processor, just make sure you don't blend, instead pulse for a rough chop!

Yield: 4-6 Servings | Cook Time: 0 Mins | Total Time: 20 Mins

Ingredients

  • 5 ripe avocados

  • 1/2 red onion, chopped

  • 1/2 to 1 whole jalopeno (depending on your spice level), finely chopped

  • 1 tomato, chopped

  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped

  • 1/2 of a lime, juiced

  • 1/3 cup sour cream

  • Salt & pepper

  • Fresh cilantro, chopped

Directions

  1. Add the avocadoes to a bowl and smash with a fork.

  2. Next, add in your onions, jalopenos, tomato, garlic, lime juice, sour cream, salt & pepper, and the cilantro. Mix well. Taste test to see if you need to add more seasonings such as salt & pepper. Garnish with cilantro.

The great thing about this recipe is you can't mess it up! You can add as much or as little ingredients to your liking.

Pair it with homemade enchiladas, quesadillas, or just enjoy with tortilla chips!
